I wanted to create a fun space for my boys with a nautical colour scheme.
The map decal from Australia adds interest to an otherwise plain wall and high ceiling. Two vintage looking light fixtures were installed over each bed and
a custom hobbled window treatment with a vintage pattern bring the look together.
Tip! I recycled their crib (they both slept in) and made headboards by spray painting the ends of the crib navy blue! My husband made these paintings during a company retreat years ago! Who knew he had a creative streak? 😉 I painted the frames blue. Old fashioned key fabric blinds fit with the era of the house!
The boys furniture is distressed navy with red underneath. It’s great because the more dings and bangs the better! Two boys, lots of dings and bangs!
Wall colour- Benjamin Moore “White Dove”
Wall Art- Husband (years ago my husband attended a company retreat and they made crafts)
Ugly Doll knock offs curtesy of Nannie! Mr. Murphy also made by Nannie! 😉A new Jack and Jill bathroom connecting the two boys rooms was framed and plumbed and an oval window was added for more light. Luckily, the window placement worked out as it need to be centred between two existing windows and may have looked odd if not. Pickled planks give the bathroom a cottage feel along with a powder blue granite counter contrasting the creamy cabinet.
