Many Rothesay residents associate the house with it’s garden tours as the previous owner was an avid gardner. Unfortunately, when we bought the home, the gardens had been let go. However, I am working towards restoring them to their full glory!
The garden was designed with pathways leading throughout. There are many beds in our yard. Luckily, most have taken care of themselves throughout the years. Gardening season is approaching quickly here on the east Coast of Canada. Can’t wait to get back at it. I am just learning how to garden and at times it’s overwhelming, but worth it!
This tree house was constructed by my husband! He did a great job!
A large river runs behind our house and the Yacht Club is directly behind. Built in 1859, Lincluden Cottage was a water front property but a previous owner sold the land in the 1960’s for $1.00. No, this isn’t a typo……….$1.00!!!! We are planning to clear out some trees to expand the view of the river eventually.
And you never know what you may see walking down the road! The photo is blurry, but yes, that’s a horse! 😉
