Our weather in New Brunswick Canada is still mild and mostly rainy, however, the snow should be here any day now! Every year, I put my grapevine reindeer out front.
My big buck is one of my favourite Christmas decorations! He’s pretty sturdy considering how many times he’s been knocked down but our dogs and the high winds we get here in November and December. Ironically, my yard is a fenced deer free zone, but Santa’s reindeer are welcome!
The fresh wreaths from our local market I decorate with a big yellow ribbon! A few years ago I decorated the wreaths with plaid but because our house is set back from the road the ribbon blended in with the wreaths. The yellow ribbon looks the best. White would probably look nice also?!
This year, I filled two urns with pine and cedar branches for the front door entrance. It was simple and easy to do.
Every season, I place swags at the entry to our property to greet guests! Anything I can put a bow on!
Yellow is my favourite colour (I bet you never would have guessed) and my inspiration for this years Christmas tablescape!
I thought it would be pretty to create a yellow Christmas table. I began with yellow roses and lemons layering in silver and white crystal candle sticks in the centre of the table.
The dishes are Villeroy & Boch and can be used on every Holiday depending on how you accessorize your table.
I love fresh holly! I’m so lucky to have it in our winter garden! It lasts indoor for a long time. The black and white detail on the rim of the plates is so pretty.
The Christmas tree napkins add another little Holiday touch!
I like to display my Grandmother’s tea service and our best crystal during the holidays.
Poinsettias are my favourite! I liked the yellow roses, but this big beautiful poinsettia elevates the Christmastime theme!
The tree in our great room is decorated with gold ribbons, babies breath, strands of pearls, big flowers and gold, cream and red ornaments.
In the foyer, I run a double layer of garland up the stairs.
I love these little birds from Michaels but cannot find anymore like them.
My goal is to create a very full looking stairway garland, but it’s tricky because if it becomes too heavy it will fall down!
The tree in our kitchen I keep simple with just strands of lights on it. In the past, I’ve used ornaments, however, there is something I like about the simplicity of a plain tree.
Pink poinsettias are getting more difficult to find. I snatch them up really quickly! Although, I like the red ones also!
You can never have too many poinsettias! I place them all over my home at Christmastime!
I love this centre piece with fresh lemons, limes, cranberries and holly.
It’s fun to add cute little touches of Christmas here and there!
