Hello everyone! I am so excited to be included along with an amazing lineup of bloggers, in the Fall Decor and Entertaining Bloggie Home Tour hosted by Angelina at Orange Blossoms and Peonies! 🍂🍁🍂 Hopefully you found your way to me while visiting Virginia Sweet Pea!
If this is your first time visiting, welcome to our old yellow house, Lincluden Cottage, built in 1859!
On the East Coast of Canada, Fall decor is all about the mums! My motto is, you can never have too many mums or pumpkins!
I pretty much keep my Fall decor simple. Mums and pumpkins! Although by the end of Fall, the mums and pumpkins “magically” multiply in quantity? I just keep buying more and more. I “may” have an impulse control shopping issue when it comes to things I like?! 😜
My inspiration for this Fall began with these sweet plates from Pier One Imports. Although these plates aren’t your traditional Fall colour palette, they are perfect in the kitchen and compliment our costa rose granite counters!
Our kitchen has pops of blue/green and pink so I was thrilled to find out this season Michaels had pumpkins that match. I still love the traditional Fall oranges, yellows and reds, but it was fun to change it up a bit!
I added some faux hydrangeas into the centre piece creating volume and softness.
The pink cake stand and crystal candle sticks added interest giving the centre piece dimension.
The dark wood chargers pick up on other dark brown accents throughout the kitchen. I love how the plates compliment the stool upholstery material. This wasn’t planned, however, I must gravitate to the same colour schemes.
I use a lot of seasonal fruit in my decor. A bowl of beautiful red apples is simple, inexpensive, pretty and most importantly yummy!! Although I’m constantly asking my kids not to eat my decor until after my shoot.
I keep my tray of Moscow mule cups on my counter year round. I love copper accents, especially in Autumn!
I’m ready for turkey 🦃 Canadian Thanksgiving is in a few weeks!
I found these wonderful silver pumpkins at Home Sense!
You can see more of my silver and white Thanksgiving tablescape in my blog under the category Holiday decorating.
I decided to play around with my new Fall decor! I like how the garland pops on the mantel. Guess I need to make another Michael’s run to buy more garlands for both rooms.
“L” is for Lincluden! We had these sweet stained glass windows custom-made for our tv cabinet. The glass allows the tv remote signal to function but hides the box!
Our Autumn weather has been beautiful here in Rothesay New Brunswick! We will sit out on our back porch until October.
A view of the Summer-side of our home.
Thank you for visiting today!! I hope you enjoyed my Fall home tour! I am the last tour today, so make sure you visit Semigloss Design tomorrow to start things off! I can’t wait to go blog hopping! Happy Fall!!! 🍁🍂🍁
