Hello everyone! Spring is in the air and Easter is around the corner! Welcome to my Easter tablescape! You may remember my pink Fitz and Floyd dishes from my Summer table?!
Savannah Home 8.25″ Canape Plate
As you can see, I’ve added a few layers to the setting! It’s funny how the subconscious can affect decisions made. Last year, Summer I found these dishes and I love them! Months later while visiting my mother, I noticed she owned the matching platter for the set! Although She purchased the platter in the early 80’s, I didn’t consciously realize I picked out matching dishes until I saw her platter! Of course she gave it to me!! 😉
The bottom cabbage leaf placemats are from Pier 1 Imports. I love how the green pops against the pale pink. I found these beautiful pink gold rimmed, softly scalloped dinning plates at Winners. They are the perfect addition to the setting.
The napkin rings are from Pier One as well. Shop the look here by simply clicking on the flower!
For a dramatic effect, I’ve placed the napkin rings inside the serving bowls to resemble a spring flower slowly blooming. The napkins are another Winners find. I am crazy about birds (as you can probably guess considering my window treatment choices), so when I saw these napkins, I had to have them!!
At this time of year, (I guess East coasters only use gold at Christmas) I couldn’t find gold charger plates, so instead, I painted dollar store doilies gold.
I think the delicate layer of gold embellishes the setting and ties in the gold! I need gold flatware. Look at this beautiful setting!
Agave 20-Piece Flatware Set
A close up look at the setting!
The inspiration for the “24 carrot” theme came from this sweet little bunny from Pier 1 Imports. He is actually a candle holder, however, inserting metallic wrapped chocolate eggs is more fun! How many times have I yelled at my kids, “Don’t eat the decor until after mommy’s blog shoot”!!! 😉
Using gold paint, I painted some carrots to match the Easter bunny!
I came up with this idea a few nights ago while sleep deprived after eating too much dark chocolate. I often use fruits and vegetables as table decor. I think the carrots are fun and whimsical! Hopefully my kids won’t eat these too?
The one and only time I can I say I have a 24 carrot gold table! Although I did see some 24 karat flatware that was beautiful but REALLY expensive.
My mom gave me these sweet wooden Easter bunnies! I love shopping with her because she always spots the best stuff. I think she wanted to keep these ones for herself but I managed to “guilt” her into giving them up! 😉
To our surprise, their tails light up! How adorable is this?!!
Last year, I decorated Easter eggs using vintage labels. You can see my DIY here: http://www.lincludencottagelife.com/?p=668 Although I use my cake stand often, I don’t think Ive used it to display actual cake?!
Tip! When trimming your flowers, don’t toss the left over leaves. You can use them as greenery to “garnish” the table!
Along with the bunny tails, I used a combination of votive candles and tall crystal candle sticks to light the Easter table.
Pale pink and peach roses are perfect. I rarely buy full priced flowers. These were half price so I could buy double the amount.
I love the smell of roses. I often “take time to smell them” a few times a day!
A closer look at the pink depression water goblets. These are reproduction glasses from Pier 1 Imports. I love all things vintage and plan to collect more pink depression glass. It’s so pretty and feminine.
I “hop” my 24 carrot Easter table made you smile! Please feel free to PIN anything you like! Happy Easter!
Thank you for visiting me today! Happy Easter!!!!! Your comments make my day so please don’t be shy! I would love to hear from you.http://betweennapsontheporch.net/a-visit-to-the-soucks/
