As I sit here, listening to “Oh Tannenbaum” I feel happy to be sharing my last Christmas decorating post. I love preparing for Christmas but now that I am finished decorating, I can take time to enjoy the festive sights, smells and tastes of the season! The greatroom comes alive at Christmas! The pervious owner, now sadly passed, told me every year she put up 10 Christmas trees!!!! I “only” have two, but maybe next year I will go for a third!
Our dinning room table sits at the bay window in the large room.
It was easy to decorate the chair backs! The gingham was another new touch! I love how it looks in the room.
Another large poinsettia makes a nice centrepiece on a table.
My Christmas plates are displayed all year round in the original china cabinet.
The stockings are of course poinsettias! Hung ready for Santa!
I have decorated with plaid since I can remember. Funny because two years ago I had a very difficult time finding plaid ribbon! When we were small girls, my mom made my two sisters and I matching white dresses with plaid pinafores for Christmas! I loved my special Christmas pinafore and the BIG plaid ribbons in our hair!
Some of my favourite ornaments given to me by my mom. Hopefully the boys will some day (NO RUSH) will hang them on their own family tree.
Last year my neighbour from the UK gave me a beautiful advent candle! I know you are supposed to light it, but I like it too much to do so! 😉
Thank you so much for visiting me! I loved sharing my Christmas decorating with you! I may take another little break from blogging to enjoy my family. We have a busy party schedule and I can’t wait to spend time with friends and family. Wishing you A VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS filled with lots of love and happiness!!!!
