I’ve been a busy bee decorating for Christmas! Last week we had a bit of snow, however, it has melted. This year, I decided to decorate using yellow ribbon (same as last year). Although yellow isn’t thought of as a Christmas colour, I like how it pops against the greenery. I hung swags at the end of the driveway outside the gate to welcome my guests.
People often ask me how I hang the wreaths on the higher windows. No, I don’t get on a ladder!!! I actually hang them from inside!
On a very mild day, I prepare by sticking the suction cups on the window. They will not hold if you try it on a cold day.
This year I decided to place smaller wreaths on the little windows.
He is tricky to put up and the dogs keep knocking him over! 😉
My little grapevine reindeer were the first in my collection and have survived two moves, months covered in snow, torrential rain…..They are tough little guys!
I wire the ribbon on the wreaths. Simple but pretty.
The dogs love the snow! I’m sure my neighbours walking by love three standard poodles running towards them….they are gated in and love to say “hello” in probably a startling way…..I really try to avoid that from happening! 😉
The dogs love the snow! It was so funny seeing the puppies reaction to it for the first time. She was afraid and wouldn’t go out at first. She then followed the older girls out and had a blast! Dogs at play! My older girl is feeling better. She has some spurts of energy and her pain is being managed.
